About Me
Me, at left with the very first experiment of the "Cosmos" series.
Art has been a ‘constant’ in my life, in one form or another – from Life Drawing night classes at the National Gallery of Victoria in my teens, to helping to bring a Regional Gallery to life in Goulburn, and guiding at the Art Gallery of South Australia. And of course drawing, painting and printmaking at every opportunity.
My current work follows a theme partially explored in the "Daughters' work - that of the sun and the moon and their over-arching impact on our lives. The overhead view from my own backyard, is an ever changing vista that inspires attention. The 'Cosmos' paintings are my attempt to portray colour as brought to life by the sun, and movement, a constant in space. With a nod to 'Orphism'.
